"Your cottage is absolutely beautiful! What a wonderful
location you have. One year we'd like to return in the fall....maybe
this year. When do you take booking for 2010?....
The
waterfront you have was great for the kids and both my son and daughter
enjoyed fishing. My son caught some big fish and my 7 year old daughter
had her first experience of fishing (and on a canoe, and paddleboat).
The other family we vacationed with are really into fishing so they were
in heaven....
So thanks
again and let us know please when we'd be able to book a future
Haliburton getaway."
Sincerely,
Pauline

"Our stay was so enjoyable,
we all had such a wonderful time! The cottage was perfect and provided
everything we needed for our week away (a home away from home). The
view from the living area was simply stunning and provided a picture
perfect view of the lake and lightning shows during the night. We are
definitely looking forward to returning again in the fall and hopefully
next summer. Thanks for making it a memorable family vacation".
When you have next summer's schedule
ready, we would love to be able to go up again!

Thank you very much for the
use of your cottage. We had a fabulous time and the weather was perfect
everyday. We kept the garbage inside, no bear sightings...
We are very interested in
renting your cottage next summer for the same week...
Hope you enjoy a relaxing
week.
Sincerely,
Jennifer

First of all, let me say
that you have got a wonderful cottage and property here. We have
thoroughly enjoyed our time here with our family and entertaining some
friends.
On an interesting note, we were up early this morning to clean and pack. I
noticed that a bear had tried to climb up on the deck to get into the
garbage can. It must have been fairly large because it's claw marks
reached as high as I can when I'm standing on my toes. It dug it's claws
into the wood siding along the bottom of the deck and ripped off a few
strips of wood. There are also claw marks a little higher up on the edge
of the floor. It doesn't require any major repair but maybe a coat of
stain on the exposed wood to seal it.
Karen and I closed the deal on our own cottage on the lake over on Morris
Lane near the public beach facing north. Unfortunately, that means we
won't be lined up to rent yours again next year but we will spread the
word and hopefully find you some other good tenants. Ours has a lot of
fixing up to do to rival yours but we've picked up some neat design and
decorating tips that we may try to replicate.
Thank you. Hopefully we'll see you in the neighbourhood........

Just a quick note to say
we had a great time at your cottage last week! It is a beautiful place
and is certainly the best designed cottage we’ve ever had the pleasure of
vacationing at. We rented a 9.9 tin boat from the marina at Fort Irwin
which served us very well for the week’s fishing expeditions. We were
also fortunate enough to have the wolves howl back at us when we visited
the Haliburton Forest on Thursday night. Dinner at Sir Sam’s was
highlighted with a selection from their extensive wine cellar – very
nice! Golf at Haliburton Highlands was a scenic and challenging trek for
one afternoon, we had a good visit with the new owner who seems like a
very nice fellow....
Thanks again and special
thanks to my Dad for renting the place, we really enjoyed our week.
Mark.
